Though aimed at readers of the “The Hunger Games,” true fans would find “Enclave” to be disappointing. “Enclave” had potential, but the author was too focused on mimicking the plots in “The Hunger Games” to give this book a life of its own. The heroine, Duece, struggles with becoming a Huntress, battles the elements, falls for a boy, and kills to survive, but these actions were too mechanical and emotionless. The plot moved too quickly without any real insight into the characters. Since I didn’t feel a connection with the characters or the story, I put the book down. and would not recommend it.
