Evidence of Life began when Abby’s husband Nick, and her daughter, went missing during a torrential storm. A sinister element overshadowed their disappearances from the beginning, which created an intriguing mystery. Abby exhibited weakness when she bemoaned her loss and worried about how to go on with her life. Yet, she was also a strong character who questioned their disappearance and challenged the authorities when the search for their bodies halted even though clues supported that their disappearance was unnatural. The author embedded many threads of possibilities into the story, which offered several potential endings. I appreciated the solid writing and strong plot, but I wasn’t totally satisfied with the ending. For so much build up, I expected more of a bang.
