The Star Attraction was a totally ridiculous romp through a publicist’s life in Hollywood. Written by Alison Sweeney, star of Days of Our Lives and host of The Biggest Loser, I anticipated this would be a deep view into a star’s life, but it wasn’t. The plot was so predictable that this could have been written by someone who had no knowledge of Hollywood at all. I guess I expected a little more meat to this story, instead of a generic girl ditches boyfriend for Hollywood “it” guy only to learn that the boyfriend is her true love. The subplot, it you can even call it that, hardly made an appearance and resolved without warning in about two pages. The best thing about this was it was mindless entertainment for a Saturday. There are much better chick lit comedies than this.
