The Glitter Plan was a book perfect for women who want some sound advice about starting a business and succeeding. This was one part memoir and one part business advice book. To emphasize the business tips a reader could pick up from these two female moguls, at the end of each chapter the pair highlighted the main things they learned that were explained in the preceding chapter.
What was missing in this book for me was the personality of these two amazing women. Aside from them eating candy as they drove a truck of clothing around Los Angeles, and their penchant for cute clothes, hardly any attention was given to them personally. That omission made this book too dry for me to enjoy. I was drowning in the business decisions without caring much about what was happening. I will say these two women revolutionized everything they touched, and as business owners, they deserve the utmost respect. I just wish they could have told their story with a little more pizzazz.
